According to the American Dream, if you work hard and play by the rules, you will get ahead. But for Hip-hop and R&B dynamic duo Heartbrk, playing by the rules has kept them running in place.Born and raised on the South Side of Chicago, both Charlie.s and Larry Jay Houston found solace in Kanye West and Beethoven’s symphonies.
The two set up shop in Larry’s mother’s attic, turning it into their first recording studio. Their efforts would help them land their first recording contract with local independent label, Kore Enterprises. After being signed to the label for years without a major release, Heartbrk
broke their contract.
Today, Larry and Charlie have started their owned label H.E.G which is interdependently owned by them and distributed by Sony's powerful music distribution powerhouse The Orchard. With new music releases set to take place in spring of 2018, these two music artists look to become the nations top musical act of 2018.
