About Mortar & Marrow
Mortar & Marrow are a unique breed of folk rock born out of a shared passion for campfire jams, playing music from the heart, keeping things interesting, and unapologetically being themselves.
Driving percussion and melodic cello lay foundation for different combinations of electric and acoustic guitar, keys, and synth while vocal harmonies soar above. They have an over-arching cohesive sound but, with three songwriters and changing instruments, their music has a wide range of feeling, vibe, and subject matter. They aren’t afraid to sing about their cats, about a love for whiskey or sing seriously about issues such as homelessness and mental health.
A Mortar & Marrow show will both haunt you and get your toes tapping; make you chuckle and get you right in the feels; compel you to sing along with a drink in hand and sit back letting the sound wash over you. Mortar & Marrow are in it for the music and play from the guts.
