About Member 8

In February 2017, Nicholas Ferrara - Nookie (Vocals), Ildar Mux - Illy (Guitar/Electronics) and Jesse Wheeler (Bass) got together to form the trio Electronic/Experimental/Metal Band under the name D Verse. By april of 2017 They released a home recorded demo album named “Definition”. The album had a Electronic /Experimental Metal sound. It was released on social platforms such as: Spotify, ITunes, Soundcloud, Bandcamp, Youtube and etc. It didn’t get much attention because the lack of promotion and poor quality of the recordings.
The band started to look for a drummer to perform the demo album on the stage. In june, They released an Experimental/Dancecore track named “JUMP”. The track also was produced at home and got attention only in Local/Friends Audience. The band kept looking for a drummer in the process. But,In july, Jesse decided to leave the band for personal reasons.
Nookie and Illy (stayed as a duo) releasing the acoustic album “Melancholy” that contained 2 original songs and a cover song called “Mad World”. The problem of not having a drummer and bass player get’s to the point of being a straight up Electro/Rock Project, but. .
In the end of august, during the pre-production of the second demo album, Farid (Fardy) The bass player joins them with an interesting Funky/Experimental/Jazz style. The band started getting ready for live performances at the time. They continued looking for a drummer and taught Farid the bass lines.
In October, the band changed the name from “D VERSE” to “MEMBER 8” (The present logo stands for MEM8ER) and sent all the demo recordings to local venues and nearby cities.
In the beginning of november, Bryan Sniffen (Squatch) contacts the band about a drummer position. After having a conversation on the phone, Squatch decided to come see their first concert.
On November 12th, MEM8ER had their first show at the Stone Pony in Asbury Park, NJ. The show was played with electronic drum samples through a tablet. The reaction from the audience was the same: “Great chemistry and very energetic, entertaining and fun”.
Squatch decides to join the band shortly after bringing with him, “The last unique piece of MEM8ER”.
At the moment, the band is in the process of booking more shows (as many as possible) and working on new material which will be recorded in mid 2018.
