5th Grade is where it all started for Corbyn"1992TheGreat" Branch,
a kid from Grand Rapids, MI, a place where attention is everything, but isn’t easy to find.
His journey begins in a Classroom, where he would sit and write lyrics in his notebook,
most were not good, but the will to rap was instilled so much that he knew he couldn't stop.
Finding himself in trouble for not being focused on the work given, he spent a lot of time watched by teachers.
Born in the typical Family home, with his mom, sister and dad, blessed with being the baby of the family, he knew he really had something to prove to the world. By age 15 we would find him recording in the basement day after day just for sake of development, at this time he wasn't taking rap serious, but more so just utilizing things around him. From free downloaded beats, to pocket mics, and free audio recording programs he eventually started putting together little mixtapes (none which have ever been released) just to hear the sound of his voice on a record.
He took on the name "Youngin" which later became "YounginDaGreat," and eventually landed on the pre-legendary "1992TheGreat" appellation, and plans to stick with now and for the rest of his time as a artist, "I just felt like I won’t be young forever, but I can be great forever! 1992 is when one of the greats was born." he would often tell someone when asked about the name.
As he got older and grew from a Teen to a man, his investments did the same. Swapping a pocket mic for a condenser mic, a speaker with a short in it to "KrK Rokit Studio Monitors" and a "Sound Recorder" to "Pro Tools." After all this, he came to the conclusion that he has to stay committed to the dream because it’s damn sure committing to him.
