Graduating from studying music performance and production at college in 2009, Ryan played in successful band, The Seventeenth Century, performing at T in The Park and The Wickerman Festival in Scotland and during several tours around the UK and The Netherlands. He has been playing, performing and supporting both emerging and established talent ever since.

Touring with bands through Germany and Holland, a regular at BBC Live at The Quay Sessions, playing guitar and singing with Craig Armstrong at the Royal Concert Hall and singing on Hue and Cry’s new album, Ryan is highly regarded as a supportive and talented performer, described as pitch perfect, an accomplished guitarist and multi– instrumentalist, with excellent technical skills having graduated from the SAE Institute in 2015.

Influenced early on by his all-time favourite artists, James Taylor, Jackson Browne, Ryan Adams, Gregory Alan Isakov, and Rufus Wainwright, Burns has always written and developed his own music. Having now found his own voice, and as he continues to develop as a heartfelt lyricist, and producer, he has finally released his long-awaited, debut album ‘Absence’.
