About Damn Cargo

Damn Cargo is a gritty alt-rock band from the East Midlands, UK.

Incorporating elements of 90s/00s post-hardcore rock, dark indie and melodic punk, Damn Cargo create a sound which is honest, powerful and laden with fiery hooks.

While vocalist Lucie De Lacy is a relative newcomer to the scene, the musicians behind her have a rich pedigree. Drummer Mark Gibson was in Lost Alone - who recorded for Warner Bros/Sire and toured internationally with the likes of My Chemical Romance, Paramore, 30 Seconds To Mars and more. Guitarist Rob Caves has played in numerous Derby-based bands such as These Waves and In-Flight Program. And bassist Ashley Bird was frontman of mid-2000s London band Iodine.

After two previous singles, the band released its debut four-song EP, Machine Cut, produced by Lewis Johns (Muncie Girls, Rolo Tomassi, Funeral For A Friend) in spring 2019.
