Passion, creativity and the fearlessness to avoid boundaries: that's what has led Marcus Starr into pursuing his solo career. After years of touring and living on the road as the guitarist in a popular rock n roll band, Marcus has finally put all his creative energy into his own music and his own unique voice. In the fall of 2018 Marcus Starr released his self-titled EP which contains six new songs. These songs range from the ballroom alcohol-fueled 'Let My Blues Take Your Blues Away' to the whispery tale in 'Fool's Gold', to the workingman's anthem 'Lit' and ironic lament of 'Fell in Mud', a sweet mix of country and funk.

"Songwriting is a craft that must never be taken for granted" says Marcus, "That's why I can't stop writing new material. Telling a story in a song is an incredible feeling. Creating interesting characters that people have a heartfelt connection with, that's what my music is all about."

So whether it's a small intimate café setting with an acoustic guitar or a large outdoor festival with his electric band, Marcus puts his guts and glory into every performance and every song he sings. Hard work prevails and in early January 2019 Marcus began recording his upcoming full-length album, mixing roots rock, Americana and alt-country, to further develop his distinguished style of music. Look for the first single to be released in the spring.
