Final Lies

Female fronted rock bands are forming a genre of their own and Final Lies are a perfect example of why. Canberra's latest 5-piece offering Final Lies pack a punch straight through your earphones - this band is not for the faint-hearted! Since joining forces with new front woman Sally and lead guitarist Sean in 2011 the band has well and truly staked their claim as one of Canberra's elite bands. Add to that an endorsement deal with U.S based clothing label Arkaik Clothing, and there is no doubt that this band is one to watch in 2012. The current line-up’s debut EP “Truth, Lies & Alibis” was launched in March 2012 to hundreds of people in their hometown. It was recorded at Electric Sun Studios, whose producers have worked with the likes of Midnight Oil, Cog and Avril Lavinge; and two tracks have already broken the top 10 of the Triple J Unearthed charts, as well as receiving air-time on a number of local radio stations.
