About River Purple
Formed in October 2017, River Purple are a British alternative rock band consisting of Wil Harvey (Vocals), Tim Waitt (Guitar), Luke Eves (Guitar), Alex Pickup (Bass) and Neil Jobanputra (Drums).
Having met at the University of Warwick through a Band Society Jam Night they have quickly moved to gig and release music alongside their degrees, capturing attention with some wonderfully varied indie guitar tunes. Based out of the Midlands for the time being, the band considers London a second home, given over half of the band grew up in the capital, with members also hailing from Lancashire and North Wales.
In May 2018, River Purple released their debut EP, 'Excuses for Wasted Time', which received radio play on BBC Coventry and Warwickshire, as well as plays on student radio across the UK, such as RaW and Xtreme Radio. This was followed by the release of two singles in November 2018 and January 2019.
