About King Melik

King Melik (aka Bryce Thompson) is an 18 year old recording artist and violinist from Chicago, Illinois.
King Melik began his musical genesis at a very young age of 6 with classically playing the violin. Homeschooled his entire life, he had a substantial amount of time to practice after his studies.

For the past 2-3 years he’s been studying new age rap, and finding ways to keep his lyrics more relatable and slightly cleaner for a diverse audience, all while maintaining his melodic flow crediting his mainstream appeal.
While continuing his string instrument studies, King Melik separates himself as a classically trained violinist.

Performing at places like “Windy City Live”, The House of Blues, opening for Chance the Rapper’s ‘Night at the Museum’ event, or serenading countless events across the country, King Melik’s performance styles are both diverse, energetic, and phenomenal.
