About AJK O'Donnell
andrew joseph kimberley o’donnell is an acclaimed American author, poet, speaker and award-winning activist. Born in Omaha, Nebraska in 1997, o’donnell began writing works before the age of eight. She is the author of the collection "Nicoteane and Other Foolish Mistakes", the short story "Confessions of a Fearful Soul", and the narrative collection "This Void Beckons".

She was a 2016 recipient of the prestigious Youth Courage Award, presented by the Colin Higgins Foundation, honored as an Outstanding Young Omaha Teen in 2015, and the 2014 Maha Poetry Festival Champion. In 2017, she became a contributing writer with the Huffington Post, penning the ongoing series, "A Life in Transitions".

When o’donnell is not writing, which is quite the rare occasion indeed, they can be found at familiar, cozy coffeehouses, walking in parks near her home, and watching cars drive by from her apartment windowsill. Her third work and debut novel, What the Crevice Holds, is forthcoming from Cracked Jar Press.

o’donnell currently resides in the Midwest, where she is pursuing a Bachelor's Degree in Cultural and Literary Studies.
