Members of God

Members of God were born in April 2009 from an idea of Enzo Donnarumma. The sound that the project aimed to achieve doses prog- symphonic metal elements with high researched orchestral lines, quoting also the Jewish folk music scene (the presence of assyrian-palestinian tools witnesses to it). Even more sophisticated is the meaning inside the ideology and the texts, strictly linked with the christian metal. Through a passionate theological study the singer Donnarumma shared with the Pinto brothers the idea of Christ speaking through metal. ( and with the appearance of the singer of unbelievable similarity!).This way of thinking leads Members of God during the whole process of their first job "Ten Talking words ", a concept album in wich they eviscerate, with a strong and emotional impact, the true message of the crucified Messiah,that has nothing to do with the religious goodism that has lost during the centuries the real power of Christ'Word. The band aims to build a live-show style that can fuse the energy of Metal with an intense and sigificant rappresentation of iconographic and mystical items , in a very original way. _-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_ ITA I Members of God nascono nell'aprile 2009 da un'idea di Enzo Donnarumma. Il sound che il progetto tende a raggiungere dosa gli ingredienti di un prog metal sinfonico con elementi di alta ricerca orchestrale e contrappuntistica da colonna sonora e con citazioni del panorama musicale folkloristico ebraico (la presenza di strumenti siropalestinesi ne da testimonianza). Ancor più ricercato è lo stampo contenutistico che caratterizza ideologia e testi, di marcata tendenza christian metal: attraverso un appassionato studio teologico che Donnarumma, singer della line up, ha condiviso con i fratelli Pinto, l'idea che Cristo in persona possa comunicare attraverso il metal (e l'aspetto esteriore del cantante, di innegabile somiglianza!) affascina e guida l'intero iter dei Members of God, i quali, nel loro primo lavoro, "Ten talking words", concept album, sviscerano con forte impatto emotivo i cardini essenziali del vero messaggio del Messia crocifisso, restituendogli un anticonformismo polemico che nulla concede al buonismo religioso che nel corso dei secoli ne segregò l'autentica potenza. Il gruppo mira a costruire uno stile live show che possa fondere l'energia del Metal a una significativa e intensa spettacolarizzazione di elementi iconografici mistici, in modo del tutto originale.
