Nomadic Homes

Nomadic Homes is the moniker of bedroom recording artist Chris Rayner. Originally from Prince Edward island, he moved to Halifax in order to be closer to a thriving psych pop scene. Experimenting with composition and recording from a young age, Chris hadn't started bringing the project live until late 2016. After taking the time to better conceptualize his vision and sound, he is set to release his first full length album in February of 2020.
The music ranges from fuzzy psychedelic pop to slinky r&b. It's soundscapes stem from Chris' obsession with tones and textures, and these affinities are made apparent in the music's hazy and saturated presentation. The live performance can be described as anywhere between vibey shoegaze and groovy dance. Chris has played with such acts as Rich Aucoin, Mauno, Klarka Weinwurm and Gianna Lauren.
