Star monster is definitely a 5 star experience. Lots of energy, great music and great vibes. The venue itself was a mixed bag. Really cool spot with DJs playing outside as well as the tower is a must - see BUT, it's smack in a residential neighborhood as well as across the way to multiple apartment buildings. All the outside DJs (which were the majority), had to play at low levels. Low as in being able to speak in a normal tone directly in front of the speakers. It was a little strange but I'd probably still do it again. A little after 10pm the main speakers on the main stage went off (right about the 3rd or 4th song into the main attraction). This was a less than optimal way to close it down. I can only assume this was due to noise ordinance. Sad really as I had driven close to 5 hrs one way to attend. While Star Monster will always be worth it, and to see the tower and the view of the skyline was cool, this would have been a better show at pretty much any other venue where we could turn UP THE BASS.
