This uplifting Reggae,Soca,Hip-hop,R&B,Top 40 band has been sending their musical vibes out to the people for over 20 years! Led by Oswald "Ham" Caines, bandleader, bass player and vocalist, this group makes you feel the music, getting everyone dancing and jumping till they sweat. They always leave the audience wanting for more. Besides playing at about every local club there is in Tampa, St. Petersburg, Bradenton, Sarasota and Venice, they have opened for many big name performers. Such as, the "Bad Boys" of reggae Inner Circle, Third World, Steel Pulse, Shabba Ranks and Yellowman, just to name a few. And in the world of soca music, they have backed up such greats as the Mighty Sparrow, Crazy, Leon Caldero, Designer and most recently, Baron. Each year that the Superbowl has been held in Tampa, Democracy has been right there giving the people an incredible performance at the Raymond James Stadium and in Ybor City on the Florida Lottery Stage. They have also been invited and performed in Jamaica as part of their Air Jamaica Jazz Festival and also at the Birmingham Heritage Festival in Alabama.
