Lucy Wainwright Roche

The opening act stole the show while reopening her own tour. She disarmed a small, largely unfamiliar, audience with her warmth, wit and charm (and answered all of their questions). Clear-as-a-bell solo voice and guitar. “You’re very good!” shouted one surprised audience member. But it’s what everyone was thinking.

Loved the show! Lucy has a beautiful voice and a very winning stage presence. She brought her mom - the talented Suzzy Roche of the Roches - along to accompany her on several numbers. A very funny introduction to “Desperato” which they cluelessly sang “at one of her father’s weddings” brought laughter to the audience.

Always wonderful to see Lucy.

Lucy has the voice of an Angel, as well as a very attractive stage presence. I loved her show.

Beautiful harmonies and wonderfully poised performers. I was kind of hoping to hear more of Lucy’s solo work, though.

So wonderful to hear the two of them! Old and wonderful new!
