About Through The Oculus
Through The Oculus was created with a vision by Randy Blount and Lauren Weatherford to be a unique band that fits all metal styles into one. In August of 2019, Randy was on the hunt for a lead vocalist. After lots of searching, one of his best friends showed him a video of Sarah Gamblin singing a cover song, and not even half way through the song, Randy decided that she is the perfect fit. So after a great meeting between the three they decided they are ready to find the last piece to the puzzle.
Finding Eric Freeman to play drums was quite simple for the fact Randy and Eric work together and share the same interests in music. It also took one time of Randy and Eric jamming together to know that they are ready to create music as a whole.
Within a year from the band's lineup solidifying, they completed their debut full-length album and released three music videos. Through The Oculus has performed at well-known venues such as The Viper Room, Whisky a Go Go, Adelanto Stadium. Drive and determination is going to take Through the Oculus to new levels.
On March 23 2021, Through The Oculus announced that they have signed a deal with LA independent heavy metal record label, Metal Assault Records, and are set to release their debut album, 'TTO', on June 4 2021 on CD + digital. Pre-orders for the same are launching on May 7.
