Abolish Conception

Terbentuk pada tahun 2002 di sebuah kota kecil di pinggiran Jakarta yang bernama Pamulang dengan nama KOBA, dengan formasi awal beranggotakan 4 orang, yaitu: Daniel - Vocal Wina - Guitar Dito - Bass Fusau - Drum Seiring berjalannya waktu kami mengalami beberapa pergantian dan penambahan personil di dalam formasinya. setelah sekitar 5 tahun, tepatnya sekitar tahun 2007, kami memutuskan untuk melakukan pembabtisan ulang dengan nama ABOLISH CONCEPTION, karena nama KOBA dirasa kurang mempunyai arti dan tidak sejalan dengan tema dari lirik serta musiknya. Nama ABOLISH CONCEPTION berarti "menghapus konsepsi/pemahaman'', yang mana kami dapat dari pemahaman kami mengenai pemahaman para kaum puritan mengenai teori kebenaran sempit yang diyakini mereka yang secara tidak langsung ingin kami hapuskan. Sebenernya nama kami mempunyai kepanjangan yaitu Abolish the puritanical deception and conception. Nama ABOLISH CONCEPTION dipilih karena sesuai dengan tema musik dan lirik yang diusung berdasarkan pemahaman kami tersebut. Sejak berganti nama pada tahun 2007 tersebut, kami sempat beberapa kali juga mengalami pergantian personil, dan formasinya tetap bertahan 4 orang. Beberapa nama pernah masuk untuk mengisi kekosongan pada posisi Lead-Guitar, seperti Agnilasa Pratiko, Medito, dan Eris Wahyudianto, namun tetap saja kami belum menemukan personil yang cocok, sehingga formasi kami tetap menjadi 4 orang, sampai akhirnya pada pertengahan tahun 2009 DIRK MARTHIN dari band MASTICATOR yang kebetulan berdomisili di Pamulang dipilih untuk melengkapi formasi dari ABOLISH CONCEPTION. Hingga saat ini formasi ABOLISH CONCEPTION yang tersolid adalah: Daniel - Vocal Wina - Rhythm Guitar Dirk - Lead Guitar Fusau - Drums Dito - Bass Guitar Pada pertengahan tahun 2010 lalu kami membuat 5 lagu single yang direkam secara live, yang dirasa sudah cukup matang dan mewakili karakter musik dari ABOLISH CONCEPTION saat ini. Judul ke 5 lagu ini yaitu: 1. Pray For Nothing 2. Puritanical Desecration 3. Imortalitas Mata Rantai Dosa 4. Nisan untuk Teokrasi 5. Bentangan Nihil Semua lagu ini mengusung lirik yang bertemakan tentang oposisi atau perlawanan terhadap dominasi tahta puritan dan perlawanan serta kebencian kepada sebuah keyakinan yang merujuk kepada monotheisme, yang sejak awal band ini terbentuk sudah mengarah ke tema-tema tersebut. Jenis musik ABOLISH CONCEPTION mengarah kepada musik Death Metal bernuansa dark dengan balutan nada-nada yang sinis, kejam, dengan banyaknya riff-riff minor bernuansa mistis namun dengan sentuhan yang agak catchy dan sedikit progressive. ABOLISH CONCEPTION banyak terinfluence oleh band-band seperti Neuraxis, Visceral Bleeding, Malevolent Creation, Dissection, Dismember, Punish, Arsis. Setelah bergelut di dunia musik selama hampir 9 tahun, maka pada tahun 2011 ini ABOLISH CONCEPTION berencana akan mengeluarkan satu album full yang berisikan 9 lagu dengan nuansa dan warna musik yang kurang lebih sudah mulai bisa terbaca dari 5 single live di 2010 yang bisa didownload secara bebas di internet. -------------------------------ENGLISH---------------------------------------------- Formed in 2002 in a small town on the outskirts of Jakarta called Pamulang with the name Koba, with the first formation consisted of four persons, who are: Daniel - Vocal Wina - Guitar Dito - Bass Fusau - Drums Over time they experienced some personnel changes and additions in their formation. after about 5 years later, exactly around the year 2007, they decided to do a re-baptism under the name Abolish Conception, because “Koba” name has less meaning and was not in line with the theme of the lyrics and music. ABOLISH CONCEPTION name means “clearing conception / understanding’‘, which they got from their understanding about the narrow theory of truth of the Puritans’ understanding which they wanted to abolish indirectly through the lyrics. Actually, Abolish Conception is the short name from “Abolish the puritanical Deception and Conception”. The name was chosen because it fits with the musical theme and lyrics that are brought based on their understanding of it. Since renamed in 2007, they had also experienced several times of personnel changes, but their formation remain 4 people. Some names had tried to fill the vacancy in the position of Lead-Guitar, like Agnilasa Pratiko, Medito, and Eris Wahyudianto, but still they had not found a suitable personnel, so that their formations remain 4 people, until finally in mid-2009 Dirk Martin from the band MASTICATOR who happened to lives also in Pamulang, selected to complete the formation of Abolish Conception. Until now the solid formation of Abolish Conception are: Daniel - Vocal Wina - Rhythm Guitar Dirk - Lead Guitar Fusau - Drums Dito - Bass Guitar In mid-2010 they released a 5 track single that recorded live, which were considered already fairly mature and represented the musical character of the current Abolish Conception. Title of the 5 songs are: 1. Pray For Nothing 2. Puritanical Desecration 3. Immortalitas Mata Rantai Dosa (-eng: Immortality of the Sin’s Chain) 4. Nisan untuk Teokrasi (-eng: Tombstone for Theocracy) 5. Bentangan Nihil (-eng: Empty Disquisition) All the lyrics of these songs carries the theme of the opposition to a domination of the puritanical throne and the hatred to a belief that refers to monotheism, which since the beginning of the band was formed has already led to these themes. Abolish Conception kind of music refers to dark shades of death metal music with cynical tones, cruel, with many minor ambienced riffs with a touch of mystical but rather catchy and slightly progressive. Abolish Conception inflluenced by lot of bands like Neuraxis, Visceral Bleeding, Malevolent Creation, Dissection, Dismember, Punish, Immolation, Arsis. After having been in the music world for almost 9 years, in 2011 Abolish Conception planned to issue a full album containing 9 songs with ambience and musical color that more or less can be legible from the 5 singles that recorded live in 2010 which can be freely downloaded via internet.
