C for Caroline

Take the chance squared! Maybe that would be an even better name for this group looking at C for Caroline’s history: Founded in 2007, it took them only one year to hit the stage at the major German music festival Rock am Ring in 2008! Channeling fire, fury and crowd energy, that's what brought these guys on the big stage within just one year. And now? Ten years of band history with countless concerts and this flame of passion for their craft keeps on rising. In 2018 a wild festival summer was celebrated all over Germany and, even more important, a brand-new album is presented! But let’s back up a little…

After reaching the German semifinal of the Emergenza band contest in 2007, a first demo is recorded in Berlin, sponsored by Volkswagen. Highly motivated by their first achievements, the band seizes this opportunity and transforms it into an unbelievable experience: In 2008, the less than two-year-old band plays at the festivals Rock am Ring, Hurricane, Highfield and Area 4 as part of the Coke Soundwave Discovery Tour. Contact is made with producer Florian Nowak and another 3-track demo is recorded under his direction at Dailyhero Recordings, Berlin, as well as at the Horus-Studios, Hanover.

In 2013 C for Caroline turned back to Florian Nowak’s studio to record the EP ‘Ready to Go’, which is digitally distributed by the Berlin label DREIKLANG Music. The same-named single is released together with the first professional music video. In the following years the band plays various concerts all over Germany: open air festivals, small pubs, street music and big stages - from northern beaches to Bavarian clubs.

But that’s not enough! In 2016 C for Caroline started working on ‘Headstrong Heartstrong’, the first full-length album of the group. Songs were written and discarded, rediscovered and reworked – after all, the first album has to be thrilling! A cycle from which they were fortunately freed by producer and friend John Hoffmeister and Yannic Poweleit, who just founded the Skyline Studios in Hildesheim, Germany. Together they chose the best ideas, started producing and recording, and, finally, created a sound to compete with international productions. And that’s what they’re heading for: The next goal is to cross all borders, cross every ocean, and take on the world – Be prepared for: C for Caroline!
