About This Last Dance

This Last Dance is an American Rock band from a little town called Michigan City that sits on Lake Michigan at the North West tip of Indiana. The band was formed in 2009 by Drew Prez(Guitar/Lead Vocals) and Josh B. who was later replaced by current member Brett (Bass). They wasted no time and started touring the Midwest and East Coast as much as they could with two former members that ended up being replaced by Brian Rich(Guitar/vocals) and Robbie Sulicz(drums). They even ended up landing a gig at the world famous Whisky A Go Go while touring the West Coast this past Summer. "Playing a stage that was once graced by bands like The Doors, Jimi Hendrix and Led Zeppelin was just one of the most gratifying moments in our lives...plus we got to see Vegas for the first time!" singer/guitar player Drew Prez said. After recruiting new members Sulicz and Rich, the boys focused on writing new material in hopes of putting it out on a record. In the mean time the band started looking for some source of management or direction. They ended up finding a small company with anything but small credentials called DJQ Management out of Cleavland,Ohio. Though the band had a solid line-up of songs, enough for a full length Metallica album, management wanted to take things one step at a time and release a 6 song EP first. Taking the band under his studded belt was producer/engineer Matt Dalton at 37 studios near Detroit, Michigan. Working with bands such as Craig Owens of Chiodos all the way to DJQ sister band, I See Stars, the guys thought Dalton would be the perfect guy for their first big studio release. They were indeed right, as they managed to wrap up all pre-production and final tracks in a matter of 3 weeks. "Currently mixing This Last Dance out of Indiana. Go help them get a Facebook presence! They burrowed deep into my own heart with songs that hint towards a mix of The Starting Line, Acceptance, and Anberlin! Anyone that knows me knows how much I crush on those bands" Matt Dalton. The bands debut EP titled A Bang for Your Buck features catchy but relatable sing along tunes sang with Drew's intensity and emotion with Brian Riches electro sound guitar riffs that seem to take you on a ride through outer space while long time metal drummer Sulicz keeps pulling you back to earth with his non stop hard to wrap your head around chops. All of that backed with Brett's far from typical bass riffs that hint toward Taking Back Sunday meets the Chili Peppers meets Mark Hoppus on crack. The EP is expected to drop internationally on itunes this summer along with a music video release for the bands first single "Hollywood". For the next year the band plans on hitting the road harder than ever before in support of the new release. Pop/Rock/Indie
