About Kelandy Music
Kelandy, born Kelandy Faustino Diaz in Oahu, Hawaii, an artist as unique as his name. Kelandy is Chamorro, Palauan and Italian. His voice is just as diverse and will take you on an excursion through the world’s islands and through life’s decades. Inspired by artists such as, Baby Face, Boyz II Men, Fiji, The Green, Richie Spice, Bob Marley and many others, they have all lent a hand in developing the sounds of Kelandy.
Kelandy played with a band, HANG 11 in 2010 and they were making waves in the Hawaii Reggae scene opening up for acts like The Green, Rebel Souljahz, Common Kings, and Tarrus Riley. In 2013 Kelandy formed The Red Light Runners. Not too long after getting together, the band found themselves playing with acts such as Big Mountain, Sammy J, Arradnha and Spawn Breezy. That is when Kelandy figured out his true calling was a solo act, he just had to refine his music to reflect that.
His first singles released in 2015 to Hawaii radio play and an opening spot on a mainland tour. His debut single "Have a Little Faith" was released in May of 2015. The single was received well by radio all over Hawaii cracking KCCN FM 100’s charts at #3 and held on to the #1 spot on FM97 for 3 consecutive weeks. His second single “All Love” debuted on the charts at #4. Kelandy’s third release “I Found You” featuring Josh Tatofi and FIJI put Kelandy right back on the charts again reaching #2 on KCCN FM100, #3 on Island 98.5 and #4 on 93.1 Da Pa’ina (Hawaii radio stations). In 2016 Kelandy toured with Eli-Mac as an opening act for sold out shows throughout California. Later that year Kelandy closed out the Chamorro Cultural Festival at CSU San Marcos and was a featured artist at the KWXX Hilo Ho’olaulea on Big Island Hawaii.
It is 2018 and Kelandy has now completed his first EP Album entitled: Love Revolution (set to release end of April 2018). The message for this music is to spread love, positivity and good vibes, the virtues reggae music has been built on. Produced by Live Animaux out of Honolulu, HI, these proven hit makers have invested in Kelandy’s sound and helped deliver this project. Kelandy says "Love Revolution the EP and the title track Love Revolution describes the conflict between the Love I have for one person but still have so much love to give to others”, the lyrics say, “It wouldn’t be fair to hide from all the beauty in the land.” He goes on to explain "Brighter days explains the struggles of everyday life in Hawaii but at the end of the day we still give our aloha for hopes of a better future. The track Adore speaks of the stress of being on tour and leaving my love behind, something many people go through, long distance relationships."
Kelandy's music is very passionate and that passion comes through at every show. Being someone with experience in radio and hosting, Kelandy's connection to the public is unparalleled. His vibrant personality and positive lyrics attract beautiful bodies to the dance floor no matter the occasion. His ultimate goal is to spread aloha to the world, through music.
