Hailing from the edge of familiarity by way of Los Angeles, Ca, comes Metal Mother, moniker of experimental doom-folk songwriter, Tara Timberman. Metal Mother intersects primal rhythms, industrial synths, melancholic melodies, and haunting, celtic-inspired vocals to form an intricately designed fabric of sonic ASMR.
Releases have included the debut album ‘Bonfire Diaries’ ( 2011), the sophmore album ‘Ionika’ (2013), and most recently, an EP called ‘Pagan Jazz’ (2018). With praise from publications including MTV Iggy, USA Today, Vogue, BUST, and VICE, the abyss of nothingness has yet to devour her entirely.
Inspired by deep ecology, mythic psychological architecture, and the collective chain that dissolves all binaries, Metal Mother is a raw offering of maternaline metallescence, seducing the Pure out of the Garden unto the warm arms of the Eternal Unknown.
