DJ Torch

Justin Michael Tortorich has always had a particular interest in music. He comes from a middle class home in Dirty South, Louisiana. His older brother helped ease his way into the music world. His first cassette was MC Hammer’s “Please Hammer, Don’t Hurt Em”. In the teenage years, Fruity Loops always came in handy to pass the time. Justin later joined the army and deployed to Iraq. Upon his return, he purchased turntables and made a commitment to the alias DJ Torch. Since then, he continues to grow in the music industry. His style is a diverse compilation of multiple genres flowing together to make one dope sound. Torch currently spins as resident DJ at Bourbon Heat and has played at some of the most trill venues in New Orleans such as The Metropolitan, Masquerade, Republic, Ampersand, House of Blues, Eiffel, Rox, JAX, Oz, and Therapy just to name a few. Some of his performances include an Exclusive DJ vs. Drummer Set with Beverly Kills, DJ Kontrol (The Remix Junkie), and YMCMB’s very own Mystikal. Follow me doggie... I have treats!
