TAMI

TAMI, born Tami Lou Spruill in Grand Prairie, Tarrant County, Texas is an American singer, pop, soul and blues artist.

TAMI entered the international music scene in 2010 as she began touring in Asia, starting in Tianjin China where she and her husband lived for 2 years. Her band, a Chinese jazz - blues quartet spoke minimal English and were able to communicate through electronic translators and instruments.

TAMI then relocated to the neighboring country of Thailand after China, discovering a lively blues scene in Bangkok and on the Island of Koh Chang.

Appearing nightly on the popular island of Koh Chang she would entertain locals and tourists from around the world, often working 3 shows per night, 7 days a week.

In 2017, her single, “The Sugar Shack” (written by Beth Hart & James House) debuted on the Billboard Dance Club Chart.#1 Breakout artist of the week and currently peaks at number #11 position in Billboard Magazine.

‘The Sugar Shack’ is a single taken from the forthcoming debut album, ‘Velvet & Steel’ produced in Nashville TN. at Sony Studios by famed songwriter-producer Bobby Braddock.

‘The Sugar Shack’ which nods to the disco era of the late 70’s and remake the song serviceable to contemporary dance house clubs internationally.

DJ Tracy Young took notice of ‘The Sugar Shack’ and added her own personal remix, with other notable DJ’s and remixers following in her footsteps.
