KØDE is a powernoise slowcore multipersonal organism emerged from the void 2016 years after a random zero.

During a whole week of cold and snowy weather in Winter 2016, they recorded their first four-track EP "Random Zero" at the well-known Studio Mecanique in La Chaux-de-Fonds. Julien Fehlmann (The Ocean, The Rambling Wheels, Coilguns) smartly puts his spin on the whole production process. The band had also the chance to have the bass guitar recorded by Nico Pittet (Émilie Zoé, Lia, Junior Tschaka). This first EP was released in September 2017 with the support Cold Smoke Records, fresh indie label based in Fribourg.

Current member of the Chikitas Saskia Fuertes is holding the guitar and singing the lines of this intense, powerful and melodic trio. Their music is a mix between strong riffs, deep melodies and raging voices. Lyrics are about deep inner fights you can only win with the help of love and light. The EP is built as an intense journey through these inner shadows and darkness.

And the winter came back so the band closed itself again inside a basement to record a whole album this time. Release of this new opus is expected in October 2019 on the well-known label Division Records based in La Chaux-de-fonds.

KØDE offers sincere and striking music, while preserving itself from any ease. Look tenderly at yourself in the mirror and trust your ears, as you don’t need any other magic spells to decipher the KØDE.
