These are the 3 essential ingredients for the music created by Tobias Upright. The singer, songwriter, and guitarist feels most at home when creating music that is bluesy, poppy, and country. Tobias’ artistic path had been shaped by the likes of John Mayer and Brad Paisley.
Tobias, who is from Zürich, Switzerland, started playing drums and piano since kindergarten. However, he found his passion for writing his own songs during his late teens. Tobias studied guitar at Winterthurer Institute for Contemporary Music for 6 years. His latest work (consisting of 6 songs) is the result of a collaboration with 2 great musicians who have the same passion for music; Lukas Gasser (drums) and Mo Meyer (bass). His debut EP – “Say Hello” which was recorded live in the studio, sounds raw and groovy, which sadly is rare to hear on the radio these days.
