About Comasoft

Comasoft is a pop rock band from Chicago. A lot of keyboards, a lot of jumping around and a LOT of sweet riffs. OUR NEW EP Let's Go All The Way, out now on WTII Records is a return to the Impulsive era Coma. Buzz saw synths and dance beats. The single is of course a cover of the 1983 SlyFox song by the same name. Our version is a bit heavier but familiar enough for those that know the original. Comasoft is currently booking shows, playing everywhere their 20-year-old van will take them and trying to rule the world. Join us in bringing rock-n-roll, general debauchery, and fun back. The rest of the stuff you already know... Fog and lights and jumping around galore, come get sweaty with us, and bring your sister... Comasoft's music has been on the following TV programs: Mtv's: Ten on Top, and The Seven (Atombomb, Never the Same, and One to One) HGTV's: Design Star (10Volt) Bravo's upcoming show: Fashion Hunter(10Volt) Canadian TV show: Degrassi (Put up a Fight) TLC's: What Not to Wear (10Volt) NBC's: The Voice - episode 3 of season 1 (10Volt) Comasoft is friends-with/played/toured with: Madina Lake Kill Hannah Apoptygma Berzerk The Anix Femme Fatality Ghostland Observatory The Presets Hawthorne Heights Breathe Carolina The Last Vegas IAMX French Horn Rebellion i:Scintilla Panther Style Dollface Devine Nothing Still Greek Fire The Nearly Deads The Dreaming Orgy Perfect Kiss Ghosthouse This list is simply to show how much amazing music there is out there and that these people have been kind enough to hang with us and get weird... Some words about our records: About Ropes on Fire Ropes on Fire is pounding at times and soft at others. The lead single West Town featuring Anthony Bagnara from Makeshift Prodigy/AudioDream as guest vocal. We also tried something completely new this time around, which was to unplg all the machines and play some songs acoustically. You'll hear three songs stripped down on this record, two of which might sound familiar to the old school Coma fan. We're beyond exited to get the ball rolling on this new chapter of Comasoft. About Burn to Shine The new record is fast and hooky. The single 10Volt deals with the desire to become something and the fallout that comes with the pursuit of that dream. The video features a retro-styled machine controlling the band and what happens when the limits are pushed. Striving for a goal always puts pressure on the people closest to us and the metaphor of a machine pushed to the limit follows the lyrical concept of the song. Dead Deadly is about the connection between being in love and how dangerous those feelings are. The person you care most about has the ability to utterly destroy you. In this song the danger manifests itself as a zombie girl sucking the life from you by not loving you back. The final track Lights Out is an updated version of Romeo and Juliet. Young love falls victim to the world around them and the song speaks to an option no one wants anyone close to them to choose. About The Beautiful Departure: The Beautiful Departure reflects the band members’ personal experiences over the past couple of years. There is, for example, the slight and subversive paranoia of Say it All and the acute self-consciousness and social anxiety of Where this Began. Atombomb is a youthful romp through the dichotomy of young love’s struggle with codependency and individuality. All I Wanted, a track tinged with honesty and regret, blends poignant chord progressions, ethereal keyboards and an epic piano outtro with the theme of a somber conclusion to a life-changing romance. New EP Coming May 2014
