About Stone Mountain Sinners
Formed in 2017 by Nick Lyndon & Sarah Warren (The SWB), Neil Ivison (The Misers), Roger Roberts, Adam Hood & Duke Delight (Slowburner) things have remained somewhat fluid with Stone Mountain Sinners.
Their debut album ‘Tones Of Home’ was recorded in early 2018 at the legendary Rockfield Studios by Paul Cobbold (Waterboys/The Pogues) and after a summer of UK festival gigs and sold out shows at the sadly missed Americana mecca The Borderline in London and the 02 in Birmingham, it climbed to No. 5 in the iTunes Country Music chart on it’s week of release.
Radio play followed with the band being championed by BBC Introducing, plays on 6Music, live sessions with BBC Hereford & Worcester & BBC Wiltshire as well as spins from Iain Anderson on BBC Scotland. Their video for ‘Round Here’ received repeat airings on Keep It Country TV.
Despite this early success, Sarah, Roger and Adam decided to call time on their tenure with the band in January 2019.
During the spring of that year, Neil, Nick & Duke were asked by acclaimed British rock icon Ginger WIldheart to form a band, write and release an album under the moniker “Ginger & The Sinners”. This lead to the recording of the (as yet unreleased) album over the summer and a U.K. Tour in November 2019 with more dates planned for Autumn 2020.
BCMA Female of the Year nominee, Emily Oldham, joined the band in March 2019 taking over the female vocals and Stone Mountain Sinners made sporadic festival appearances throughout the year.
In February 2020, Emily departed as they began work on the follow up to ‘Tones of Home’ first with Paul Cobbold and then with Elliott Vaughan (The Wandering Hearts).
Currently working on their follow up, Neil, Nick and Duke are now joined by Simon Picken (The SWB) and Paul Connop (Scott Matthews Band) as the head with a renewed fire into 2020 and beyond.
