About Jill's Cashbox

Jill's Cashbox emerged in 2011 when singer/guitarist Hunter Smith, drummer Shannon Featherman, and guitarist Jeff Sweat came together through a mutual love for music and songwriting. Subsequently, the 3 started writing a collection of songs that told the story of their lives and of those around them. Shortly thereafter, the 3 went into the studio to record their first album. It was through their time in the studio that Joey Antrim (Bass) & Rob Gundling (Keys) were added to the roster. Within a few months of the album's completion, lead guitarist Greg Martin was added to the mix and the lineup we know today as Jill's Cashbox was rounded out. With diverse influences from Country, Rock, Top 40, & Pop, JCB began to develop its sound. Though this sound was definitely country due to the band's affinity for such artists as Jason Aldean, Eric Church, Garth Brooks, Alabama, Johnny Cash & Merle Haggard, the band's style had a distinct country-rock feel all its own. Since coming together, the band has developed a sizable, devoted fanbase who gives the undying love and support that fuels JCB. The band has had the privilege of sharing the stage with such artists as Lynyrd Skynyrd, Alan Jackson, Sarah Evans, Dierks Bentley, Toby Keith, Joe Nichols, Sheryl Crow and a host of others. JCB has made multiple live appearances on 97 Country, WCPC and K92.3 FM. You can hear the band on 97 Country every weekday at 3:00 p.m. as they wrote and recorded the intro song for The Sara Michaels Show. In 2015, the band is in studio recording a follow-up to their first studio album, as well as filming a few videos. Both are promising to keep the band very busy. Their self titled debut album, as well as some of the new singles, are currently available on iTunes, Amazon.com and CDBaby.com.
