RJ Bergman

RJ Bergman is an American singer/songwriter currently residing in Boone, North Carolina. Easy to listen to and full of heart, he writes about how he feels regarding the world around him. In a melodious fashion, RJ expresses how writing music has healed him and hopes his audience can also be healed and enlightened. RJ started writing music and teaching himself guitar his freshman year in high school. Throughout these years, RJ strived to push his musical endeavors beyond the walls of his bedroom. One of his first experiences in sharing his music was at talent competitions in high school, where twice RJ took home the award for “Best Male Vocalist.” After two and a half years of tumultuous teenage growth, musical development, and writing, RJ played his first real gig at age 16 at Pour House Music Hall in Raleigh, North Carolina. He has since played elsewhere in the area at Lincoln Theatre and Volume 11 Tavern. In June 2014 before embarking on a study abroad to Australia, RJ released his first self- produced album titled "Lovely Little Times.” RJ is a graduate of Cary High School and is currently pursuing a BSBA in Hospitality and Tourism Business Management with a minor in Appalachian Studies at Appalachian State University. He has found more to reflect on while in college, leading to further musical discovery and an ever-evolving music identity. Singer/Songwriter from North Carolina.
