Elin Synnøve

Elin Synnøve is originally from small-town Northern Norway (Sørreisa in Troms County), now situated in Oslo. Her professional background is partly academic and partly creative, and she has gained reputation as a strong vocal performer within the world of popular music. Her grooming started locally, with a jazztrio, but also as soloist with choirs and other ensembles working with a greatly varied repertoar. To add to the variety, she played the trumpet on a ballad/jazz-recording and took on the soprano solos fronting a baroque ensemble. The major part of her musical endeavors, however, lies in the popular musical field, pop music elegantly flirting with a range of other styles - niche pop, if you will.

Elin Synnøve has written lyrics and music for a range of productions, whereof some are released with band concepts (Eliksir: Earthly Things), and some are released under her own name with label Curling Legs/Pop Division (The Anchor and The Dream, Time to Cross og Perfect Addiction). Additionally, she has contributed on a number of other artists' recordings and concert projects, as singer, keyboardist, arranger, vocal instructor, and producer. Her music has reached a substantial audience abroad and you can find her songs on releases in Germany, the UK, and Hong Kong.
