About Live Fast, Die Fast

The energy, the passion, the true meaning of what hardcore is. That’s what the Long Island based band, Live Fast, Die Fast, is committed to in their music. Formed in the summer of 2008, Live Fast, Die Fast, is proud to carry the torch of the 90's hardcore scene. Live Fast, Die Fast was born out of the members desire to play what they believe is “true hardcore”. They recorded their first EP, “The Rise and Fall of Nino Brown” in the Fall of 2008 and the response was overwhelming. Playing shows all over Long Island and the surrounding areas, showed the band that there is still a fan base that clamors for what hardcore music is. Playing with bands such as Agnostic Front, Ignite, The Misfits, Terror, Grey Area, Maximum Penalty, Soldiers, Stigma and Last Call Brawl, continues to help grow the loyal Live Fast, Die Fast fan base. In the fall of 2010, Terror Bomb Records signed LFDF to their growing roster of bands. The full length record, which was produced by Mike Gallo (Agnostic Front), was released in the Summer of 2011 with guest vocal appearances from Vinny Stigma and Rik Jimenez (Soldiers, This Is Hell). In March of 2013 they recorded their 2nd full length which was released on Full Circle Attack records in the summer of 2013. It was once again produced by Mike Gallo as well as George Reynolds (Mind Over Matter/ Wiretap Crash). Some reviews of the record: The 9 songs in 20 minutes here are balanced well with an overall healthy dose of straight up speedy hardcore punk with plenty of Moshy breakdowns throughout, and of course those melodic hooks that just sucked me right in.--In Effect Hardcore "No frills, no downtuned guitars, many songs clocking in under two and a half minutes, this album is a great example of NYHC somehow living and breathing in 2011." "This album says hardcore isn’t about feelings or fashion or having connections with the right labels. It’s about going through shit in life, realizing you’re not alone and coming through it scarred and stronger." Their music will continue to carry on the spirit that is in each and every hardcore kid, young or old. Each of the members of Live Fast, Die Fast believes in the music that they create and they continue to engage the fuel of the hardcore fire that continues to burn in all of us.
