About Check'a Fred
Growing up in a family with musical talent all over, it was just a matter of time before Check'a Fred would pick up right after them. Fredrick Earl Wilson, III was raised in Lynwood, Illinois and at the early age of 11 his musical talents started showing after he quickly learned how to play piano and drums after being taught by his father.
The very next year he attended a performing arts camp in Chicago Heights where he wrote his first rap and performed it at a showcase hosted by the camp and ever since that day he fell in love with rap music and drew influences from J. Cole, Drake, and Childish Gambino. In 2014 he started expanding his musical talents by producing beats for himself then started posting singles on SoundCloud under the name Young Check'a, then in 2016 he dropped his first EP titled "Never Seen" under the same name.
In 2017, he officially changed his name to Check'a Fred and released his first mixtape titled "Check Me Out" where his song Midnight started gaining attraction towards him. In 2018, he released a collaboration EP with his friend Tone Up titled "V.I.B.E.S," which helped him gain more fans and knowledge about producing. In 2019 he started his own record label called Sonic Allusion Records and released his single Places under the label to promote his EP "Check'afied."
