About Brea Fournier
“Brea Fournier is a charmingly fresh musical voice whose bubbly attitude and go-girl demeanor underscore a whimsical maturity and intoxicatingly vivacious sing-along magneticism. ”
- Grammy nominee Shane Adams
Born in Coeur d'Alene, Idaho and hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, Brea Fournier's songs are alive with the energy of New York City's twentysomethings. A classically trained former musical theatre kid, Fournier's music is born of the strong melodies and camp of this background, crossbred with a punk-rock aesthetic she picked up in her angsty years as a young teen diving into all of the Gen-Z/Millennial cusp kids' emo favorites. As a fiery advocate for intersectional feminism, Fournier's songs are unapologetically feminine, upbeat, and deeply emotional, drawing influence from artists and bands like Paramore, Miley Cyrus, and Green Day, as well as 80s acts like Cyndi Lauper, the GoGos, and Blondie.
On Spotify, Fournier's music has amassed over 50,000 streams so far. 2017's Debut EP "BREAking Free," recorded in Nashville, featured fan favorite tunes "Teacups" and "Wake Up! They Are Dreams." In 2020, Fournier released two singles: "Rebound Phase" and "Psychic," as well as a music video accompanying the former directed by Karol Nowak III.
In 2021, Fournier started a band project titled Brea Fournier and the Dream Ballet, and the group performs regularly around New York City, frequenting venues like Pianos, Arlene's Grocery, the Bitter End, Bowery Electric, and Berlin Under A. Fournier is a student at the renowned Clive Davis Institute of Recorded music at NYU Tisch and will graduate in May 2022.
Fournier is also an avid horror movie enthusiast and produces a podcast with Nowak, "Karol and Brea's Commenscaries." In her free time, Fournier enjoys avant-garde art, YouTube drama, and the company of her two baby hellions (cats), Cholula and Sriracha.
