About The Wranglers
Founded in 1999, former recording-artist Paul Simoens started the band as a three piece and a machine. Able to play very large to very small venues and vice versa. Paul Simoens (Vocals, Lead Guitar), Patrick Hellebosch (Guitar, GuitarSynth) and Hendrik De Bruyne (Bass) and a Yamaha sequencer (Drums, keyboards, strings and percussion) and supported by one-man-crew/road manager Danny Smet, is the current line-up for the road-worn band.
Being able to preform a full set of 5 hours straight is one of the unique features of this band. The possibility to play very silent is also a big advantage for every event manager that books the band for really any occasion. The band gives the audience a "feel good experience" during the whole set.
Playing songs/covers situated in the 1965 to 1975-period, the band played more than 750 gig's, and counting.
The band had a major change in may 2017 when former bass-player Walter Peirens retired and was replaced by Hendrik De Bruyne. A new wind came and many new ideas were triggered by this event.
A complete renewed playlist and several different combinations and set-ups were tried out and the band started it's second life.
By the end of december 2017 drummer Eric Huys joined the band for the mid-and large stages and venues - The Wranglers XL.
The first full-force gig in the Wranglers XL-configuration is February 24, 2018.
The Wranglers can be booked in three different set-up's :
- The Wranglers (Classic set-up)
- The Wranglers XL (with drummer Eric Huys)
- The Wranglers Zonder Prieze (acoustic set)
Three completely different experiences with the same experienced musicians !
