About Ghostnaps
Richard Lathrop, better known by the stage name Ghostnaps, is a DJ and record producer based in Eugene, Oregon.
Known for his diverse discography, Lathrop has been through a wide variety of projects. Originally going under his own name and playing Progressive House, Lathrop found success in his hometown of Eugene, Oregon’s house party scene.
In October of 2016, Lathrop announced his rebranding as Ghostnaps, and released ‘No One Else’. Continuing to expand his discography, Ghostnaps became known for energetic live sets, with a no-genres-barred approach. After dozens of shows, two beat tapes, and multiple singles, Lathrop’s debut studio album ‘Better Places’ was released worldwide on March 27th, 2020.
As 2020 took an unexpected turn with the onset of the COVID-19 global pandemic, Lathrop took the time away from shows to work on and evolve his sound. ‘Holding on to Something’, his first single since the ‘Better Places’ era, was released on October 16th, 2020. With catchy lyrics laid down by frequent collaborator Khalil Romeo, the single was an instant hit. In the fall of 2021, after a summer run of shows in the Pacific Northwest, Ghostnaps released his sophomore EP, ‘Blossom’, including the single ‘Really Love U’, featuring Atlanta-based rapper Father. In 2022, fans can expect to see plenty of new Ghostnaps music and shows, plus a few surprises.
