Amazing experience, almost put to threat by thunderstorm, but fortunately weather got cleared up just in time. Eventually the only thunderstorm was delivered by powerful punch of three Prophet 7 synthesizers and bunch of others I did not recognise. Hania took us to a fantastic journey of electronic soundscapes supported by very nice light effects. What a sequencer treat it was...

First, the show was not at the Standard as originally advertised. It ended up at the original Greyhound Bus Station that was closed about 3 years ago. I don't know why the venue was changed but I do think this was a great move. The setting was as if we were at the Boiler Room. I ended up at the front of the stage which was placed right in the middle of the station floor...no security...no barriers...nothing!!! Felt like an impromptu / pop-up decision to just put a stage...here...in this rundown a*s building that we have no idea what to do with and let's see what happens. For me, it worked. I've seen Hania twice, once in a smallish venue in DC, second time was in Philly, third time would have been in NY had I not found out about that show the weekend before...it was sold out. I've watched every one of her performances that are posted on YouTube. This will go down in my history book as the most memorable concert experience I have ever had. If you weren't there for this performance or any other performances that were there you missed out on something very special. I hope this performance was secretly recorded and ends up on YouTube but I doubt it, I wasn't able to spot any cameras anywhere. Thank you Hania for this memory and thank you Big Ears for the venue change!

Fenomenaal optreden. Buitenaardse geluidsgolven en kosmos dimensionale trillingen. Tot tranen geroerd, melancholie gevoeld en hoop gekregen. Heb haar nu voor de derde keer mogen bewonderen en nog steeds blaast ze me uit mijn sokken. Zowel qua trillingen, composities als beleving. Spectaculair lichteffect die letters en lichtprojecties door de ruimte liet glijden. Nogmaals grandioos. Ze sloot af met 24.3 van het album Ghost. Deze versie was nog bombastischer, gelaagder en verfijnd in detail. Ik houd van haar muziek en dat verklaard waarschijnlijk ook mijn enthousiasme.

Great event! I love listening sessions and this one had Q&A with the artist live, so definitely a bonus. The venue is very cozy and has a great sound system. All participants were very respectful and not disruptive. One minus I would put on the reservation system- one need to feel the form to pre-book the spot, however there is no email confirmation issued. I wasn't sure if my reservation was successful until I've seen myself on a printed list at the reception.

A wonderful, phenomenal concert! The beautiful energy of the artists combined with the incredible energy of the place and the audience. Hania Rani led us into her world of understanding and experiencing music. And it is a world full of magic and unique beauty. Thank you from the bottom of my heart!

Just amazing! She is incredible. Her voice makes me feel so good. Few times had gose booms as she got on high tones. You can see that she is so into the music she makes. Playing with three pianos at the same time, using three microphones as well. Singing to one of them, makes the loop and adding next voice from the second mic. Just amazing. Her pose, moves, face expression…. You can read that she is the music, her soul is the music. I’d definitely love to repeat this experience with upcoming concerts.

Sadly I was unable to be there in person, but I was; in Spirit. So so glad she chose to come back to us here. Saw her in Canberra and was able to chat with Hania for a few minutes. <3

Hania is a rare talent whose openness with her audience makes her all the more endearing. Right at the pinnacle of ethereal neo-classical music. Can’t wait for her next album and her next visit to Australia.

Well the show is mostly staring at the back of her t-shirt but it was amazing music. The crowd was revved up for “Dancing With Ghosts “ which was also my favorite moment, and one of the only with lyrics. Someday I hope to see her in a dedicated show, as the third-act in the line up did not lend to a crowd that was her own. Unjust, in that regard.

So glad I was able to see Hania live! I’ve been following her for quite a while and have loved her records and her YouTube videos. Seeing her in person is an even better experience. She gets into her flow and just performs. She moves quickly and smoothly between her pianos, Prophet, Roland and the various mics she has on the stage. She has expert assistance from the mixing board with loops and reverbs. Great show!!

Excelente concerto. O tempo passou a correr. Feliz por conseguir assistir ao vivo agora, já que na sua passagem pela cidade do Porto em Setembro de 2019, não tive possibilidade de ver no CCOP. Feliz.

An sich ein gutes Konzert einer tollen Künstlerin. Ich hätte mir etwas mehr Interaktion mit dem Publikum gewünscht, hab dafür aber selten jemand erlebt der so in seiner Musik aufgeht. Die Theaterfabrik war aber leider die falsche Location für dieses Konzert. Zu voll, zu eng und zu viele Nebengeräusche. Besser wäre z.b. das Prinzregententheater gewesen. Um besser sehen und hören zu können hätte ich sogar nen festen Sitzplatz in Kauf genommen.

Ich war schon einmal bei Hania Rani auf einem Konzert. Damals mit ihrem ersten Album war es noch eine "persönliche Show" mit ein paar netten Worten für das Publikum und wie es zu den Songs gekommen ist. Das Piano stand im Vordergrund, ein paar Lieder waren gesungen.... Jetzt ist es mehr eine "sphärische Show" mit spacigen Charakter. Ja, normalerweise weiß man, wie die momentane Musik des Künstlers ist... aber man hofft auch auf die guten alten Zeiten, wo das Piano im Vordergrund stand, denn sie ist eine geniale Künstlerin. Und sehr wandlungsfähig mit ihrer Musik. Meine Rezession spiegelt nur meine eigene Meinung wider. Hania Rani ist eine begnadete Künstlerin. Allerdings ist ihre Musik in eine andere Richtung gegangen als noch vor ein paar Jahren.

I was in keyboard nerd heaven at Hania Rani’s superb gig at Wylam Brewery. Not that I play, I’m just completely obsessed with synth sounds and electronic sound manipulation! Her bass player had a Moog Subsequent, lots of delicious phatness coming from that. She had a Keylab 49, and a Loop station on top of the grand and a bank of two keyboards between the grand and the upright that I couldn’t get close enough to identify. There was a lot of arpeggiation going on. Nerding aside, it was 90 minutes of pure, multi-layered, acoustic bliss ✨👌🏼

Amazing performance by an incredible multi talented artist. It’s fair to say that the entire audience seemed totally captivated by her unique blend of classical, electronic and jazz inspired music. Hard to comprehend that such a stunning wall of sound could be produced by one person supported by a cello player. Also a big shout out to the Project House sound engineers, as the sound quality was excellent.

It was a really nice event, in a great location. The sound was sometimes a bit bass heavy, close to cover up the middle and high parts. Hania was very charming and all together a good show.

Magical evening. Transfixing. Stunning voice, incredible music, moments that felt like you could hear a pin drop and the only sound was of the audience spirits transported way beyond the Roundhouse and into worlds beyond us all…. Brilliant.

Wow! Mind blowing, amazing - Hania is a genius, it was an honor to be part of that wonderful and unique concert. Thank you so much. Thanks to everyone who was part of it and gave all the effort to make it this special 🙏🏼

Es war ein Event der Extra Klasse. Hania Rani hat gezeigt dass Sie eine Hochbegabte Künstlerin ist und ihre Zuhörer In Ihren Bann zieht . Ihre Klangwelt ist eine Mischung aus Klassik und Moderne ;Ihre Entwicklung hoch kreativ und faszinierend. Ich freue mich auf mehr 😊

Ich muss gestehen, es war mein erstes Klavierkonzert. Normalerweise bin ich bei anderen Musikrichtungen auf Konzerten. Erst war ich etwas "skeptisch", ob die Klangqualität von der CD live so umgesetzt werden kann.... aber es war noch viiiiieelll besser als auf der CD. Das Konzert war einfach nur der Hammer!!! Sehr emotional und traumhaft schön!
