Salmon Fishers

Tout commence en 2008 dans un pub canadien, "The Salmon Fishers". Robin, Valérian et Grégoire y composent leurs premiers morceaux, influencés par Arcade Fire, The National ou encore LCD Soundsystem. De retour en France, ils sont rejoints par Damien, Christophe et Allan qui ajoutent cuivres, claviers et batterie. Depuis, le groupe a concocté des singles et EPs jusqu'à atteindre l'âge de la maturité et de la cohérence musicale avec leur EP "Karuselli" ( sortie le 16 septembre 2013 ). Le son éclectique de ce dernier EP évolue entre pop orchestrale et dream pop, évoquant les meilleures productions scandinaves actuelles avec toutefois certaines sonorités tribales. ----- It all began in 2008 in a canadian pub called "the salmon fishers". Robin, Valérian and Grégoire composed their first tunes there, inspired by bands like Arcade Fire, The National and LCD Soundsystem. Back in France, they were joined by Damien, Christophe and Allan and their instruments. With these new members, a new dynamic emerged by adding brass, keyboards and drums. Since then, the band has put together a few singles and a couple of EPs. Listening to their forthcoming EP (Sept 13), we discover a refined and consistent sound : the five tunes remind of orchestral pop/ dream pop as well as of scandinavian indie rock with a hint of tribal groove. www.salmonfishers.com
