Up In Smoke Charlotte

Up In Smoke was born from a few back room jam sessions in the summer of 2013 that quickly turned into a weekly excuse to get together, have a few drinks and just have fun playing some good music. Each member brings something different to the table between different musical backgrounds and different skill sets that span over 20 years each within their craft. We also bring mixed levels of gigging history and understand what it takes to not only sound the best we can but to create a great experience for our fans. In 2014, we hit the road playing parties and private events. What evolved was a unique blend of rock, alternative, grunge and blues spanning the last 40 years that is able to connect with a wide range of people from hard core classic rock fans to 90s grunge to people who just enjoy rock and roll. In 2015 we expanded our fan base to local bike nights and other public gigs within the Charlotte region. Every show we bring something new to the table, constantly evolving our setlist options or upgrading our equipment to improve the fan experience. Our focus is to play music everyone wants to hear but also play covers that aren't heard often. We hold ourselves to high standards but always aim to have fun with what we do and really enjoy each moment when playing live.
