Kyle Davis

Kyle W. Davis is a singer/songwriter from just south of Richmond. Bill Reid pulled his music out of a paper bag in the early 90's and signed him to the fledgling Cellar Door Records. The result was more than they expected getting air play and selling throughout tidewater and Central Va. Getting the attention of Don Dixon [REM ,Smithereens, Mathew Sweet] they collaborated on another body of work called "Waiting for You". The result was like a strike of lightning, landing him on the cover of Billboard Magazine further getting the attention of maybe the most notable producer in the world. Phil Ramone [Billy Joel, The Band, Paul Simon, Bob Dylan.} The meeting became a production, then record deal. He released several records while shifting from label to label, finally walking away for a while, tired with small children looking for something else. After 12 years if your going to come back and make music it had better be great. Two singles are out now, with the full record "Make it Count" coming out in Oct. Reviews are saying it is truly a home run. Dealing with the middle portion of life, the losses and gains, the changes in direction, the false equities we invest in if we are not careful, and sometimes the need to write the ship. A new record come out on 3-28 called Jericho and is already receiving rave reviews.
