About Staci Braun
Singer-songwriter Staci Braun’s adult-contemporary music originates at the crossroads of wisdom gleaned from painfully complex life journeys and the innocence inherent in the promise of new beginnings.

Staci’s elegance as a songwriter and the visceral emotionality of her vocals and lyrics recall Nina Simone and Joni Mitchell. But, after battling fear and others’ expectations, she’s reclaimed her life and cultivated an artistry all her own.

With bold vulnerability, she offers her debut, Blanket Of Melancholy. Within the album’s tracks—soulfully presiding over each song—is the specter of a journey, the journey of being brave enough to embrace what could be and moving away from mourning a life thought to have passed by.

Blanket Of Melancholy is reflective but broadly resonant. It brims with narrative songs about stepping forth raw and open, and finding salvation. Staci’s vocals offer subtle sensuality and comfort. The album exudes the kind of dark catharsis that comes from facing painfully complex truths head on. Album highlights include the title track, “Wait,” and “Modern Family,” and beautifully reimagined versions of Sting’s “Fragile” and James Taylor’s “Don’t Let Me Be Lonely Tonight.”
