About JSB Squad Productions
JSB Squad was an experiment that rampaged through Detroit from February 2008 through September 2009. Centered around songs written by Jesse Shepherd-Bates, the band featured a malleable and expansive lineup. The band played their first show as a three piece. After this show, and the subsequent recording of an album, Jesse declared that "everyone" was in JSB Squad, and the following shows had anywhere between seven and nineteen people on stage at a time. At the moment the Squad is on hiatus, but by no means dead. Stay tuned.
UPDATE: On March 3rd, 2011, JSB Squad returned to play Metro Times Blowout 14. Headlining Gates of Columbus Hall night one, the band featured its most epic lineup yet.
ANOTHER UPDATE: After many frustrating years of "chilling", JSB Squad is emerging as a collective of Detroit based artists determined to get the message out to all those with an ear for good art.
