About Elena Degl' Innocenti
You can read a more formal Bio on my website...
Here it's gonna be just me, no embellishments.
I love music, I love to eat.
I love to talk to things, like they were people. I love to ski and watch tennis matches. I love to be silly. I am overly melancholic when I leave a hotel room because I know I will never see it again. I'm a wild procrastinator.
I love hills, green hills, like where I come from, Tuscany.
I miss my country, yes. The positive and the negative. But after 10 years I've been gone, everything gets blurry, and I remember only the good stuff.
I love to write songs about personal discoveries, investigating the human experience, and how to live fully every moment... without getting lost, which sometimes happens and lasts weeks, months...sometimes years!
I practice meditation, I've done it for years, and I have a feeling I'll keep doing for a long time.
I also "don't like". But maybe another time, this bio is getting pretty long.
Before delving into music I studied psychology at the University of Florence, but music and stubbornness took over and led me to Los Angeles.
Nobody knew I liked to sing until I was 17. I kept singing for years in my bedroom, undisturbed ...door closed, close to a corner so that I could hear my voice well without being noticed.
It took me long time to come out of my shell and abandon what I thought I had to do for what I wanted to do.
I recorded two albums, and of course, as soon as I finished one I wanted to start the next. So I can't wait for the third!
...but really, all I want to say is that for a series of mysterious reasons I came into this world into a supportive and funny family, I have a some friends and fans scattered throughout the world who support me and remind me to never lose track of who I am, at the core.
love to all,
Elena
