Shattered Sanctity

Shattered Sanctity is coming at the world like a hurricane by combining equal parts of speed and aggression with technical prowess and power to create a harmonious new sound that will change the face of metal. In 2008, Singer/guitarist Mike Hunsicker, guitarist Jake Butcher, and bassist Matt Baginski sought to create a new sound that would break through the current trends by taking elements from both thrash and power metal and forging them into something new. From this melding of styles, Shattered Sanctity was born. After experiencing numerous line-up changes, a stable group of musicians with the talent and vision required for such an undertaking were found. The guitarist and drummer duo of Keith Windel and Dave von Grothaus were recruited from local thrash/metalcore bands after playing together for years. Dan Synder, a longtime friend of Windel and Greathouse, was recruited to hold down the low end on bass. After leaving the band due to musical differences, Dan and Keith both left Shattered Sanctity, and Rob Kas returned to the fold to hold down the low end, and CJ Costantino from fellow band Brothers in Exile was recruited on guitar. With a complete set of musical weapons at its disposal, Shattered Sanctity has charged forward into the music scene. Sporting aggressive riffs, big hooks, epic melodies, and catchy lyrics Shattered Sanctity is setting new standards and paving a new path for future metal to come.
