Pako Sarr

Pako Sarr, born in Dakar - musician, composer, producer, who comes from Senegal and currently lives in Poland. At the age of 17 he founded his first band Soweto Boys, where he played drums. after 3 years the boys band turned into an ARRA (Africa Reggae Roots Ambassador, which was a forerunner of reggae music in Dakar, and became popular very fast. 8 years later Pako Sarr travelled to Paris, where he was composing, learning to play a guitar and to sing. At the same time the Nomad Soul music project were emerging and characteristing sound of Pako's music, the art of experiment connecting various genres, like afro, reggae, soul pop i rock, could be well heard in it. After 5 years Pako started playing concerts in the south of France with his own project. For the first time he came to Poland 4 years ago with a concert. He has lived in Warsaw permanently for the passed 2 years. Currently he is a founder of the Except the Pako Sarr Band, which is the most important project. Pako is a guitar player and a vocalist, who composes and performs in languages wolof, english and french. Pako is a co-founder of a social-cultural concept called UP [United Peoples], and along with Mamadou Diof he creates the Djolof-Man band, a trio including: Pako Sarr, Mamadou Diouf, Mohamed Mbow. /http://sarrpako.wixsite.com/pako-sarr
