About 20til8

From the beginning 20TIL8 set out to play by their own rules. To create music that they would be fans of and to not fall victim to a Metal Scene plagued with scenes and trends. You can hear influences from Metal to Hardcore to Thrash and even Punk. No guidelines set; they just play music they love. 20TIL8 is the ultimate anti-tough guy band. This truly shows during their energetic live shows where people young and old have fun whether they are a fan of Metal or Not. 20TIL8 brings back the lost art of showmanship. So many bands just get up on stage and play with no crowd interaction at all. Chants can be heard at every show “Cake is Metal” as they throw delicious cake into the crowd. There are always fans on stage dancing and singing along with them because that is why the stage is there. For all of us to be one through unity and respect enjoying life to it’s fullest. Life is hard enough! 20TIL8 is 100% about family, friends and having a good time. frankenstyle wanted to start a band back in September of 2009 with Jeff Bombardment. Then G.I. George, who just got back from his second tour in Iraq, wanted to be a part of the project. Then In January 2010 Psycho Dan wanted in and 20TIL8 was born and ready to take on the world! They came out swinging hard and played their first show with the Misfits back in July of 2010 to several hundred people at the Silo in Reading, PA. They instantly received several positive reviews and started turning heads in the underground scene. With every show they play, more and more people are appreciating what 20TIL8 does for not only for their fans but for everyone else in the underground. Not just entertainers, they are fans and work hard to support and help rebuild the scene back to what it once was. Their lyrics range from unity and acceptance, to being bullied, to war, to multiple situations life deals to you. 20TIL8’s music is easily relatable to and appreciated by all. Their self produced debut album “It’s About Time” was released on January 19th 2013. They headlined Reverb that day with the best of the best of underground metal bands that have helped them along the way as well of whom they are fans of. That was G.I. George’s last show because he needed more time to prepare for getting married and his family as well as going back to school. The Kohl Train took over the Bass position in February of 2013. In June of 2013 Pleatherface was added as a second guitar player. From the beginning 20TIL8 set out to play by their own rules. Influences from Hardcore to Metal, Thrash and even Punk.
