Even if you think country-blues isn't for you then THINK AGAIN and get out to a John R. Miller show - you'll be glad you got your New Year started right here! A stormy January Sunday night didn't do anything to dampen the grit and spirit in this collection of tell-it-straight guitar-led songs performed to an exquisite electric guitar and lap-steel accompaniment. John took to the stage 15 minutes earlier than scheduled. Late-comers who missed his opener, 'Shenandoah Shakedown', didn't miss out however, because he went on to sing it for them as a kind of post-show private event. What a lovely guy he is.

Excellent! Would give 5 stars except for two items: (1) a few patrons standing nearby to people trying to listen and enjoy the show were more interested in talking loudly and disrupting the show; and (2) when asked the bar tender for some water was told it had to be purchased for $3 per plastic bottle. Tap water should be available and for free.

The two musicians that were on the stage John and Chloe did amazing. John is one of the best songwriters of our time! His lyrics tell a great story and his playing is absolutely superb! Chloe and Johns’ harmonies are phenomenal and her fiddle playing is excellent! Cannot wait to see them again!

First time seeing John R Miller and what a great venue in Glen Jean WV. Medical emergency interrupted the show so that is the reason for the four star rating. I hope to have the opportunity to listen in person somewhere else and give a proper rating of 5 stars! Arlo McKinley definitely deserves a 5 !

Shame that the audience was so loud, clearly not paying much attention to the "support act". John was great, though.

So good. Intimate space, and once the sound engineer dialed in the vocals it was rollicking.

They killed it, been to a lot of shows and this will always be remembered as one of the best

We try to catch John every chance we can. His song writing is relatable and descriptive. The melodies captivating. And the sound evolves and shifts with every show. We are proud of his continued success and can't wait for the next show.

I've heard of John R. Miller but this is the first time I'd seen him live. Great show. I'll be downloading more of his music.

An absolute gem of an evening! John was on fire and wowed us w many familiar songs and 2 that were new to me. He has a captivating, enthralling presence as he sings his perfect songs. Chloe adds another dimension to the performance and was right on point with her fiddle playing and occasional harmonies. They were both very personable and sincerely interacted w fans before and after the show.

Absolutely amazing!!!! Can’t believe more people can’t see the talent in this song writer musician.

John R Miller and his band were exceptional and the sound quality was good. He's an amazing songwriter and I look forward to every show he schedules. Red Barn was lovely and their service to the industry is appreciated, but the interview was lacking on the part of the host.

A true song writing genius. A room with less than 20 people, these days will be few and far between!!
