About Deep Waters
It only took the month of March 2018 for Deep Waters to form. Each member was doing their own thing in Los Angeles when the stars aligned and found a laudable match with Erin, Mike, David, and Josue. From children’s choirs to solo acoustic performances, Erin had been preparing to front a band her whole life. It was at one of these solo gigs that she was approached by David, who offered his drum skills. He knew Josue from a previous project and brought him in to play lead. Mike, whom Erin know from an open mic in Echo Park, was eager to join the newly forming project, and sealed the deal with his bass expertise.
Finding their blend between rock, folk, and jazz, Deep Waters delivers a dynamic catalogue of original music. With their unique lyricism, Deep Waters focuses on stories that bring a brutally honest look at the human condition. Buzzbands said it best when stating, “Deep Waters are a young L.A. quartet making the kind of ’90s-style indie-rock known as pep-punk, employing bristling, biting guitars, brisk rhythms and an overall sense of tenacity to drive home frontwoman Erin Jones’ views on identity, empowerment and relationships.”
Their latest release “Smog Ceiling” is the third single off their forthcoming album. Plans for a west coast tour in May 2023 are in the works.
