Blue Nipple Boy

Formed in Bucharest, Romania, Blue Nipple Boy combines the positive vibrations of Reggae music with Rock and Alternative grooves. The band was formed by Catalin Boltasu (guitars) in 2010 and since then, the group collaborated with many local musicians and friends. The stage debut was in March 2011, at the most important alternative establishment in Bucharest - Control Club. Since the beginning, Blue Nipple Boy shared the stage with many international and Romanian well-known bands. Throughout their career, they have often been referred to by the media as a very fresh group with energetic live shows. They also made many TV and Radio appearances in Romania. Due to their fresh sound and powerful live performances, they were invited to join the largest festivals and concerts in Romania (i.e. Bucharest Green Sounds Festival, B’Estfest, Peninsula Felsziget, Plai Festival, Street Heroes Festival, Street Delivery, Arenele Romane Bucuresti, Sala Palatului Bucuresti and also festivals abroad. In 2012 they played SZIGET FESTIVAL in Hungary and they have been included by Virgin.com in "SZIGET 2012 - Top 5 Startling New Discoveries". In 2013 they won "Fast Track to FIB 2013", an international music competition organized in London, UK and played one of the largest music festivals in Spain, FIB BENICASSIM 2013. Also, in 2013 they headlined Last Summer Dance Festival, in Luxembourg. In 2014, they released “UNITED”, an EP of four tracks and an official video (i.e. United), which was digitally released through Vice Romania and Deezer Romania. Also, in 2014 they released a new single along with a new video – “Positive Vibration” - part of the upcoming studio album scheduled for 2015. In 2015 (December) they have released a new album, the "Positive Vibration" EP, featuring On My Way, Do The Reggae, I Don't and Positive Vibration. Also, in 2015 Blue Nipple Boy played at fEAST Fest 2015 in London UK – the first Romanian Alternative Music Festival in London, at Snow Fest 2015, in Les Deux Alpes, France, an important European sports & music event and also important festivals in Romania like Bucharest Green Sounds Festival or Astra Film Festival.
