About Chris Skillz

I've always had dreams, you know, everyone has dreams; a fireman; an astronaut; playing in the NBA and for me, well, i'm not saying i didn't want to be all of those things it's just that hip-hop took over from there. Now, you see i don't know if i'd call myself lucky or, heh, cliche i know, it was just meant to be that i grew up listening to "real hip-hop," Nas, Prodigy of Mobb Deep, B.I.G. and Tupac (of course), gotta have tupac in there though. Music helped me through the day and i was pretty much one of those kids that went through a lot. A lot. As a kid i kept to myself and music was the one way that i could really express myself, like, it's my diary, you feel me? Some people can relate and i can really move some people-sometimes in the right way and sometimes for the worse but the whole point of it all is to feel it. I'm not the only one who endured the darker places in life like molestation and some of you have either been there with me or don't really know what the people that you sit with in school; the people you see on the subway; the person you just bought those new j's from-what those people go through. The fact is that we as a people go through a lot and i think music as a whole really took me over as an escape from those dark times. All music, not just hip-hop seeded itself deep within me and grew into my new passion. If you want to succeed and reach your dreams you have to put forth the effort. There are no days off, no sleep, it's 25 hours a day, music all day. Bleed music.
